Travis is a Sr. Research and Policy Analyst at the Institute on Ethics & Policy for Innovation (IEPI), where he provides ethical analysis and expertise to problems in emerging technology, applied ethics, and institutional design. Travis joined IEPI to work in its multidisciplinary environment, focusing on some of the most challenging and interesting ethics issues that humanity faces. His research interests include blockchain and distributed ledger technology, artificial intelligence, data sharing and privacy, and the related ethical challenges & policy gaps. His goal at IEPI is to continue to develop his research and philosophical skills, while undertaking work that has a positive impact on the world.
Travis holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Philosophy and Labour Studies, as well as a Master of Arts in Philosophy from McMaster University.
